The Dinkelbergschule in Rheinfelden organises the 9th charity christmas market in favour of our association. Thanks to all the kids, teachers and parents!

The day finally arrives: the foundation for the building of the Secondary School is layed the 15th of October!

The second class of the Secondary School has been put to school on the 1st of October. The children will have lessons in rooms of the Primary School until their building is finished. Pictures in the Galery.

The youth orchestra vielharmonie con brio organises four concerts with a parallel exhibition for Gando. € 15.000 have been collected for the association! A big THANK YOU to the initiators, musicians, donors and sponsors. Pictures in the Galery.

Francis Kéré wins the Regional Holcim Award 2011 Africa Middle East for his concept of the Secondary School in Gando.

The youth club YAAM Berlin organised the "YAAM Street Soccer Masters 2011". Our association benefits from all the earnings in August. Thanks very much! Pictures in the Galery.

€ 8550 earn the pupils of the MLG Baden-Baden with the charity run 2011 for Gando. Thanks so much for all the kilomters which have been runned!

The "Day for Gando" by the Kepler-Gymnasium in Pforzheim, on the 25th of June, yields the proud sum of € 9543 for Gando. Thank you very much for this great initiative!

Le Naba, the father of Francis Kéré, passed away.

Attending the dm-Wettbewerb Ideen Initiative Zukunft, Schulbausteine für Gando e.V. wins 1000 € for the mango plantation in Gando. Pictures in the Galery.

Gando is visited by a group of pupils from the Kepler-Gymnasiums in Pforzheim, under the guidance of teacher Peter Gloede. The pupils from Germany show the children in Gando how to put solar lights together.Pictures can be found here.

The 18th of November, Francis Kéré will be awarded with the BSI Swiss Architectural Award for his work in Gando. Pictures of the award ceremony in the Galery.
